He loved Derbyshire and the landscape coming originally from Nottingham and in a rock and roll band in the early 1960’s shortly before he gave it all up as he had found God (or God found him) .\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eThe image came from a photograph I had taken while on a walk in Derbyshire just after his death. My dad loved farms and barns in particular I never knew why until I thought about it but sewing, reaping, gathering, planting, all things to do with farms and farmers are written about as images \/ parables in the bible. He saw his church buildings as barns to gather the harvest of people so this is what I decided to depict.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eThe piece has scriptures throughout related to barns in the bible, not visible straight away but after looking closely can be read.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eMade from slices of brick clay which are then fired and arranged on wooden panels. The panels are then painted and copper leaf added.
